FMgru claims an erection time of only three hours for its new topless city-class tower crane, the 1040 TLX. An operator cabin is optional for the crane, which lifts 1t to 40m jib-end, and 2.4t to 18.5m.
The S1210 model with 1.2m-square mast sections rises to maximum height of 36m. In 2007, the company will produce a new flat-top with 80m jib, according to export manager Luciano Conti.
The company has launched a new range of self-erecting cranes with covered motors and electrics. The first of these units, the RB 1030, was shown at Bauma 2004.
The two units at the show, the 22tm-class RB 828 I and 25tm class RB 1131 I have frequency-inverter controls on all motions. “The evolution of these machines will be in the mechanism and safety controls,” Conti says.
